Eulogies Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community are still paying respects to the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, explained he just recently felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner made him fall in love. "Once we started spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked seamlessly with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "all case details, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Aftermath and Reactions

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals expressed varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, making provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by proposing that an associate ought to have acted when the choice to comment on the passing was made.
